New Design Home!!!!!!

Ok, it's been months since I've posted here, but get ready to see much more of me.  I HAVE A NEW DESIGN HOME!!!!

I'm over the moon thrilled to be joining the design team of Happy to Create!  This is a dream come true for me to join this very talented group of designers.  And guess what .... it truly is a happy happy place to be.  Look for posts later this morning with three new products going live today.  Come on over and take a look!  Tons of really great designs, lots of inspiration in the gallery, fantastic newsletters and a fun weekend challenge each week. 

I'm so excited to be back in the design world and feeling more creative than I have in such a long time.  It will take me time to build up stock of my designs as I'm starting over with all new products.  I hope you will follow along with me in my journey.

TGIF, Colour Inspiration & The Lorax ....

Happy Happy Happy Friday!  It's been a very long week.  Hoping for a good weekend this weekend.

Ollie and I have been anxiously awaiting The Lorax movie.  He started talking about it weeks ago and even went as far as to retrieve the book (along with some other Dr. Seuss books) from the basement.  It was one of his favorites when he was little.  I think I must have read it a million times.  Anyhow the movie is finally here and hopefully we will get to go see it on Sunday.

I found this picture online from the movie and decided it provided great inspiration for a bright colour palette this week.

Changes and quotes ...

So I'm very sad that my designs are no longer at Digitals.  I'm not sure what is next, but I'm trying to be positive about it and hoping that better things are ahead.  I certainly need to find a new digital home for my designs.  I'm currently working on a couple of new kits and feeling good about finding some of my creative mojo.  In the meantime, I'm going to work on being able to sell from my blog or facebook page.  If there are any of my kits you are interested in, please leave me a comment or e-mail me and we can work something out.

One of the kits I'm working on is using the palette I posted last week that was inspired by the cupcake ad I received.  I haven't completely settled on a name, but am considering "Hearts Aflutter". 

I don't know about you, but I'm a big fan of quotes.  Seems I'm always collecting quotes and posting on my Facebook page.  Quotes can be a great addition to a scrapbook layout!  The quote I found and posted yesteday was:

Colour Inspiration ........

2011 was not a banner year for me.  Lots of big bumps in the road and a huge lack of creative mojo haunted me.  2012 has started out better, but I seem to be getting a slow start on the creativity side of things.  Just when I was feeling confident about jumping back into the pool again, I received news that things would be changing for me.  As of mid-February I no longer have a home for my designs.  I don't know where I'm going to land, but I'm determined to keep designing and find a new place to call home.  In the meantime, I'm going to try and figure out how I can sell here from my blog and possibly on Facebook.  Stay tuned!

Today I received an ad from our favorite cupcake place (Crumbs) and it completly inspired me!  Check out this palette for some color inspiration!

Isn't it gorgeous!  I definitely feel like playing with these colors for a while and see what develops.  I can see a couple of different directions I could go with these colors. 

Cross your fingers that I find a new design home, in the meantime I'm going to work on some new stuff and revamp some of my older stuff.  Keep checking back because I feel a freebie coming up this week! :)
