TGIF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Here's a copy of my post on the Digitals Blog this morning. Today is my last day of posting there, so be on the look out for new stuff here next week!

----------------

What a fun week it's been hosting the blog here. I do apologize for not making it in here yesterday, I got swamped at work and then spent the evening straightening out the roster and working on everything for Ollie's spring hockey league. I'm getting the jerseys this afternoon and have to get them organized to hand out at tomorrow's game.

With summer coming, our household is in count down mode for vacation. We are once again going to our favorite beach .... MYRTLE BEACH! As of today, we have 66 days before we leave. The boys started counting back around 145 days till departure. Yes, we make our reservations pretty early! Due to my love of the beach and our vacations at Myrtle Beach, I've already made two summer kits and I'm sure I have more to come. I have tons and tons of pictures from our trips!

Here are two of my earliest kits and yet still two of my favorites:

The previews on thes just don't do them justice. There are additional previews in the store which show you how many fun things these kits include.

You can find Shades of Summer Bright here, and Shades of Summer Light here.

Also, I have a great Dream Your Own Monogram for Summer kit that coordinates beautifully with the Shades of Summer Bright kit.

Because I've enjoyed being here so much this week, and it's Friday and I'm excited about vacation in 66 days, I've put the two summer kits on sale for $2.50 and the monogram kit on sale for $2.00. HUGE bargain. AND, just to throw in an extra, here is a little sampler that coordinates with Shades of Summer Bright that I offered on my blog a while back.

You can download the freebie here.

I hope you've enjoyed the goodies this week. You can always catch up with my latest news and rambling on my blog.

Have a great day!

Playing in the dirt ...

I'm so happy that Spring is making an appearance here and that I spent time yesterday "playing in the dirt". I got about 1/2 my flower beds cleaned out and ready for Spring. I need to finish the rest of them, get some new mulch down and get some spring flowers I purchased planted. Every spring I buy at a discount Daffodils, Tulips and Hyacinth that have already bloomed for the season. I put them in the ground and the next spring I have even more spring flowers to admire. Hubby teased me the first year about "planting dead plants"... but he's now the first one to suggest going up to the nursery to see if they have any "dead plants". Once everything is cleaned up, it's a waiting game until May before I get any more plants. It's tradition that the boys buy me my summer flowers each year for Mother's Day. They've given me as many as 15 flats in years past, but I've planted so many perrenials now that I don't have as much room for the annuals. I just happy to have a jump on the clean up, some years I don't get to get it done until Mother's Day and then I have to clean up and plant all at once! Eeekkk!

Help me name this kit ...

Help! I need a name for this kit.
As you can see, I already have 12 papers done, a ribbon and a very unique ribbon cluster. Submit the name I choose and win the kit for free* !
Deadline for choosing the name is Friday, April 25th.
Submit your name on my thread in the TSG forum here.
*NOTE: There will be a little delay from the time the winner is chosen and receiving the prize as I'm sure the name will help decide some of the elements that will be created.

Blog Freebie ...

As I posted the other day, I am the guest host for the Digitals blog this week.

Here is a free quick page I just posted there.

You can download it here.

Here is the preview of the full kit:

You can purchase it today only for $2.00 from my Digital Store. You can find it here.

Don't forget you can also use my blog hopping/birthday coupon and save even more!

My Birthday was Great!

My birthday was busy, but good. Ollie had clinic in the morning with his high school team, they had a guest trainer and he was spectacular. The trainer was Randy Velischek who used to play in the NHL including for the Devils. He ran some great drills and is coming back for next week's clinic also. Then there was a game in the afternoon with his travel team. They won 6-0 and everyone played well. Then it was dinner at one of my favorite Italian restuarants. Yummmmmmmm it was super good last night. Hubby had already gotten me the new printer a few weeks ago, so I didn't want any gifts. But the boys still gave me cards and two pairs of flip-flops from j.crew. I LOVE cute flip-flops and have quite the collection of them that I wear the minute the weather even thinks of getting warm.

TSG SALE!

We have changed over to a new storefront at TSG and for our grand re-opening, we are having a big sale. Save 25% on almost everything in the store. I've marked some of my items down that don't fall into the overall 25% off sale. I have a lot of $2.00 priced items. Be sure to click on the items you are interested in as the sale price doesn't always show on the front listing.

Let me know what you think of the new store. It has some great new features (like the larger hover preview when looking at the front listings) and I think everything looks great. Everyone has worked super hard to reload all of their products.

You can see my stuff here.

Happy shopping!

Just musing ...

You know, sometimes I think we take for granted that our loved ones understand how much we truly love them. But then again, how many times do I wish hubby would give me that little extra "I love you and you mean the world to me" ... right? I'm sure he needs the same. I guess this is a reminder to all to remind those you love and care about how much you love and care about them!

This are past layouts that I've done about hubby. I adore him! I'm afraid I've been remiss lately in showing/telling him how much he means to me. MUST do better.

TGIF!!!!!!!!!!

Woohoooo it's Friday, tryouts are over... OLLIE MADE THE TEAM!

Hubby and I are so proud of him. He's worked hard to get to this point and level. Much more hard work to come, but I'm sure he'll step up and do what he has to.

Thursday ...

Hmmmm... no catchy titles for Thursdays. I'm super tired, between tryouts late on Monday night, the high school hockey dinner late on Tuesday night, and tryouts last night... I'm living on very little sleep. Thank goodness tonight is the last night of tryouts. Good thing for Ollie is tomorrow is a teacher in service day, so he has no school. Spring league starts on Saturday and he has clinic on Sunday.

Funny story, Ollie a year ago would have whined for a week or more about having to dress up for a hockey dinner. Now that he's played in the high school and had to dress on game days... he immediately suggested wearing dress pants, shoes and a dress shirt to the dinner without any prompting from me. My how times change.

Note that the TSG store is going to be down for maintenance starting today and hopefully re-opening on Monday. There are some exciting things happening behind the scenes there.

Hugs!

Weekend update ...

Good weekend. Nice that hockey has reduced to a dull roar instead of full throttle at all times. Ollie did get a note Friday afternoon that there was an extra ice slot on Saturday morning. He and three other players showed up (along with the AD and his son)... they got a great workout in and it was wonderful to get some "free" ice time to prepare for tryouts this week. Then Sunday morning started their spring clinic for the high school and incoming high school players. They had good trainers for the clinic yesterday and really worked some good skating skills. I look forward to the rest of the sessions as there will be different trainers along the way to see what other things they will work on.

Went to the farmer's market while he was on the ice Saturday and picked up tons of fruits and veggies. The refrigerator is PACKED! Woohooooo love fresh stuff. Then went after hockey up to another place and picked up some of the bloomed out tulips and daffodils for only $2 per pot. Hubby used to tease me about buying "dead plants" and planting them until he sees the results each spring as our spring flowers get prettier each year. Also picked up some potting soil and new pots to replant all my African Violets. They need some TLC from their Mommy. :)

Funny story, I've been trying to convince hubby we need a large rug in our living room for years. We have all hardwood, tile and linoleum flooring. With six cats and only rugs at the entry ways, one in Ollie's room and a regular bathroom rug, we end up with lots of cat hair "tumbleweeds" that fly around the floors no matter how often you vacuum. A large area rug in the living room (being the largest uncovered wood floor), would cut down on them tremendously. You can see the difference in Ollie's room and I've been trying to convince hubby of this for more years than I can count. I have finally given up trying to convince him and just chase the tumbleweeds around as often as possible to keep them under control. Imagine my surprise yesterday when out of the blue hubby suggested we should get a large rug for the living room???!!!! Sooooo rather than say anything, I'm just going along with the idea. We'll go out looking this week and hopefully find what I'm looking for quickly! LOL

I love that man.... he's adorable!

Misty Morning Quick Pages & Brag Book

Coming very very soon to both stores are two great sets from my Misty Morning kit. Dawn from my Dream Team did these for me a while back and I've been horribly slow in getting them to the stores. Seems like the holidays and then life just got in the way. Now that things are getting better, I'm working on getting organized and catching up on some little things that I'm embarassed have sat for so long. Anyhow, aren't these beautiful? Her talent in putting together quick pages and brag books amazes me!

Keep your eyes open for another blog hopping coupon from me this week at Digitals.... pssstttt it might even include a discount for these. *wink*

Here's a sneak peek at one of the letters from the Rachel & Friends Alpha.

FUN CROP!

FANTASTIC, FABULOUS, WONDERFUL crop last night ladies! I want to thank you all for coming back to the crop after my leave of absence. Everyone at TSG is just the best! For those of you who didn't make it, we had a great time. The chatting and giggles were fast and furious! hehe Hope we'll see even more people there next month.

The challenge this month is to use my Rachel & Friends kit (on sale for only $2.00 through April 15th) and the template to create a layout.

You can twist, turn, whatever you want to the template. Remember templates are likes sketches... they provide a basis for the start of the layout but do not have to be a strict guideline. Post your layout to the Box of Dreams Gallery and then a link back to the recap thread so that we can ooohhh and aaahhhh over your layout. Also so that I can keep track of who completes the challenge. There will be a super fun add on alpha and stickit for all who complete the challenge.

You can still participate in the challenge even if you didn't attend the crop. You can download the template here. I can't wait to see the layouts!
