It's been forever since I've put a freebie on here. This is a quick page using my Shades of Summer Light kit which is available in both stores. Check it out, there are some great unique elements!
You can download it here. Please leave some love if you download, it makes a designers day! =)
Working on getting back into the groove as I think everything this past week scared the mojo away. If I don't make it back before Monday, have a great weekend!

Pictures of the "OUCH"
Just a couple of pictures of Ollie's wounds. The picture of the fingers was taken on Sunday and the picture of his wrist was taken yesterday when I was changing his bandages.
I feel so blessed that he's going to be ok! You wouldn't believe how much better his wrist looks! It's healing beautifully. Hard to imagine it was a inch wide open on Friday!
Thank you everyone for the well wishes and prayers!

Quick update ...
Struggling to keep up with anything. With Ollie's accident it seems like everything is a whirlwind. Didn't help that my parents showed up on Saturday. My stepmom flew out yesterday for Alaska and Dad is pretty much staying with us (outside in his RV) until at least August 9th or 10th when she returns. Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh
We took Ollie to the ER for a wound check on Sunday. Took about 3 hours of waiting. Good news is there is no infection and it seems he is healing well. He has sensation in all fingers and can move everything. It's hard for him to open his hand all the way, but that's because it pulls the wound on the wrist. They say everything looks normal and the prognosis is still very good. We have an appointment next Monday with the pediatrician and hopefully get stitches out. The pediatrician is in charge of when he can resume hockey since the ER doctor turned the case over to them now. I've taken several pictures of his stitches and need to get them off the camera. I'll post when I get a chance. There will definitely be a layout or two about this adventure!
Finished up a bunch of stuff for TSG last night. Made it in by the deadline for the newsletter. I am the featured designer in the August newsletter. Look for a question and answer section about me, a coupon and a gift. I'll post when it's available and hope you'll all check it out.
Need to get Box of Dreams organized for August. Haven't decided what the weekly challenges are going to be yet. I'm taking requests.... *hint hint*
Also working on some grab bag goodies for a grab bag at TSG coming sometime in August. I'm also struggling with my description on my kit, "Rachel and Friends". I need to get that organized an in my stores. Speaking of stores, I've decided to leave DigiScrapShak for now. I just don't have time to do justice to three stores right now and need to get settled. I didn't feel it was as good a fit there, even though the ladies there are really lovely. I'd like to take on a third store when I get more organized and stuff.
Ok, so maybe this was more than a quick update ... hehe
Hugs,
Georgia

Prayers please ...
I sent this out to my team members at both sites and my Dream Team, but just to update the blog readers:
Please send prayers for Ollie. He is 14 and has his first job babysitting a friend of ours. The little boy will be 9 in a couple of months. Anyhow, today was his 2nd time babysitting and I got a call from the mother that the boys had called 911. Ollie had cut himself on some glass and it was bad enough to call 911. I rushed to get there before the ambulance took him. The little boy went to push a paned glass door shut, my son was coming through so he put out his hand to stop the door. His hand went right through the pane. Cut his finger and thumb, but sliced him open on the wrist side about 3-4 inches long and filleted it open about an inch. Barely scraped above the protective coating where the tendons and nerves are. Soooo, one emergency room visit and lots of stitches later, I have him here at home. Ladies, this could have been so very much worse, even deadly. I am terrified beyond belief. Anyhow, the good news is it appears there is no permanent damage. He can move all fingers and make a fist. He's wrapped up and in a splint for now, we take him back to the ER on Sunday for them to look at the wound and make sure everything looks ok. I on the other hand am a complete mess, but trying not to let him see it. I'm super proud of him though, he did everything we've taught him and handled himself very well during the whole thing. First thing he told me when I came rushing in was "I'm ok Mom, don't panic, I'm ok". He still is handling it well and hasn't been upset other than they told him no hockey for at least 2 weeks, maybe more depending on how's he's feeling. I'm a lucky mom with a very lucky boy, praise God it wasn't worse. Pray that he doesn't hurt and heals quickly and that his mom regains some sanity.

It's the middle of the night and he's sleeping well. He had some pain over the evening but a couple of Tylenol took the edge off for him. He's amazing me in so many ways with this whole episode. Me, well obviously I'm struggling with this a bit. God is good though, I know that a very special little guardian angel named Jenn was watching after her big brother yesterday.
We took this picture of him, and we'll take more. We'll have to get some pix of the stitches when we're allowed to change the dressing. We've got to figure a way to shower him later without getting it wet. I think I'll make it easy and at least wash his hair in the kitchen sink.
Hug your loved ones! Hugs from me to all.

It's HUMPY Day ....
Oh how I love that humpy day... 1/2 way to the weekend. I don't want to wish my life away waiting for the weekends, but I do have to tell you that I enjoy my family time. I love spending time with hubby, our son and fur babies. Speaking of fur babies.... can I tell you how happy they are now that we are home. Even fraidy cat Patches is being a lot bolder and less afraid this past week. Here's an old layout I did of him talking about his adoption:
I am slowly working on getting design stuff organized. Give me a few more days to catch up and I promise a good blog freebie to make up for the lack of one in a long time.
Have a great day!

Back from Myrtle Beach ...
Ok, so I'm officially a terrible blogger! I was doing so well and then all the sudden I can't seem to keep up with things.
Vacation was wonderful! Super busy getting ready for it, as always it passed so fast and now it's super busy catching up from it. Took tons of pictures. So many pages I want to do.... so many designs sitting in my head.
Bear with me while I continue to catch up and try to get a handle on things.
Here's a quick July wallpaper I did for hubby the other night. I LOVE LOVE LOVE this picture of Ollie standing looking out towards the ocean.
