Ok, so I'm a day late with that post. This past month has been super crazy and I can't believe how fast it all went. Good news is no matter how far behind I got, I made my deadlines and managed to get everything taken care of for hubby and Ollie for Christmas. Even got my Christmas cards out the week before too!
We've all been in various degrees of being sick at our house. I don't think I've felt 100% since before Thanksgiving and I spent the weekend before through now with a wicked sore throat, a cough, an unhappy tummy and 2 mega-humongous-killer migraines. Poor Ollie has been battling the sore throat and cough. Hubby hasn't felt 100% either. All the cats have a cold too, I'm thinking about bundling everyone up and opening the windows to the house for a day and trying to kill all those germs floating around.
Christmas was wonderful and spectacular as always. We enjoyed our little family and the day together. The cats got tons of toys, a new scratching post, a new kitty cat tent from Ikea and of course some treats.
Ollie got everything on his list and then some! I guess the biggest and best was his new Baur Vapor XXXX stick.
He's been playing one game on the computer since last Christmas and finally made the level they consider a win on Christmas Eve. He was super excited to get the exansion pack for it. He's all loaded up and started on new conquests and campaigns now.
I tried to do a lot for hubby even though he kept telling me not to since I bought him the professional lens for his birthday. I did get him one of those new record player/cd recorder things that were so popular this year. He has a huge crate full of albums in the basement that we can convert for him now. Also got him one of those fun 1000 places to see before you die books. Figured it would be fun to go through and target some places we'd like to visit.
He and Ollie did so much for me this year. I got tons of really cool gifts and ended up really spoiled. My two favorites are my new iPod
and my most favorite is a beautiful ring from hubby that he made me wait to open until the very last thing. We've had a bit of a struggle keeping things together this year and I can't even tell you what this ring means to me.
So, that's a quick catch up and a peek into our holiday. I'm working today, but off the rest of this week and will return to work on Wednesday, January 2nd. Ollie has a hockey tournament with the JV team tomorrow and Friday. Hoping to get some good time to sit down and organize for the new year. I have lots of ideas and goals in mind. I'm actually looking forward to a fabulous 2008.... I think it's going to be a great year!
Hugs to all!
