I'm still very sick. Actually looking forward to a few days off to hopefully rest a little and get better. The cold is very bad in one of my eyes and is making me a miserable girlie. Good news is that I'm leaving the office at noon today and don't have to come back until Monday morning. I'm not volunteering for any extra work over the weekend, I need a break.
Tomorrow is Thanksgiving for those of us here in the US. It is also Ollie's birthday. We will be celebrating with all the traditional stuff (turkey, mashed potatoes, stuffing, gravy, pumpkin pie, etc.) and in addition he has requested pancakes for breakfast, pumpkin bread and chocolate cupcakes with white frosting.
I'm going to at least bake the cupcakes, make the pies and pumpkin bread today. I'm also going to start prepping the stuffing and maybe make the mashed potatoes. I can frost the cupcakes after breakfast tomorrow once the turkey is in the oven. Hubby also got some fondue chocolate and goodies to dip in it one night this weekend. Ollie loves fondue! We took him last weekend to The Melting Pot to celebrate his making the high school team, getting a great report card, etc.
Ok, enough rambling from me.... I don't think I'm making any sense.
I did finish my grab bag. Don't forget to check it out this weekened at Digitals. From what I've seen, there are going to be fabulous ones there. Some great sales too!
Happy Thanksgiving to all..... I'm so thankful for my family and friends!

Bad bad bad blogger!
Yes, I've been a terrible blogger. Last week was tryout week for the high school ice hockey team. It was super busy and crazy. Was also working on getting my grab bag together for the Black Friday sale at Digitals. You don't want to miss out on this one! I'm super happy with the contents and it's a bargain for only $3. The bag will be on sale Friday, November 23rd through Sunday, November 25th. After that the three products will go individually into both my stores.
Good news is Ollie made the high school team. He will play JV full time and also play some Varsity games! We are super proud of how hard he worked for this. GO OLLIE!
I've had a terrible cold and been sick since Friday. I'm working on catching up here and on the Dream Team blog. See ya soon!

Good morning ...
I'm off work today. All the schools are out today and tomorrow for Teacher's Convention. Funny because I know a lot of teachers and have never met one yet who attends this mysterious "Teacher's Convention". Personally, I think it's 2 days vacation for teachers. Anyhow (getting down off soapbox), I promised Ollie I would take today off and we would do whatever he wants. I was originally supposed to be off tomorrow also, but with Sig sick and all it didnt' pan out. We have to go get Ollie dress shirts, but other than that the day is whatever he wants. I think he wants to see a movie and spend some serious time in Barnes & Noble.
Figure I'll get a few things done while he's sleeping in.
Have a great day!

It's Humpy Day Already?!?!?
Good grief, where has my week escaped to? I guess I've been super busy getting the three finished kits in the stores. Working on getting Dreaming of Christmas ready also. There's also a grab bag event at Digitals on Black Friday that I'm hoping to have a bag ready for, but with the way time is flying, I just don't know if I'll make it. I'm working on it though! LOL
Here are the three kits going into the stores this week. They are already up at Digitals. They will go up at TSG on Friday and will be 25% off through Sunday November 11th.
I also got hubby's November wallpaper done ysterday. I used some photos he took for me of the season's last Dahlias. It's inspired a color palette and I already have several papers and elements done. The wallpaper will give you a peek of where it's going.
I've also been working on getting the Dream Team blog up and organized. I've been gathering their layouts and labeling them so you can find them easily. There are some great ideas for my kits there. Grab a cup of coffee (or cocoa) and go browse through the beautiful layouts. On the bottom left hand side, you can click on individual kits that you are interested, by layout artist or you can just scroll through the blog randomly.
Happy Humpy Day!

My last day of guest blogging at TSG ...
I decided that to post the end of my week as guest blogger at TSG on my own blog as well.
Enjoy!
-----------------
I'm said this is my last day of blogging with you, but I'm sure I'll be back around for a turn another time. I hope you've enjoyed my silly rambling and picking up the pieces of Spooky Dreams. For those of you who missed any part of it, I'm working on getting it together to go in the store next week. If you like my rambling, it's easy to find me rambling away on my blog. Also, I'd like to announce that I've got the greatest Dream Team Creative Team ever and I have started a blog to showcase their talents. Stop on by the Dreams Ink! Dream Team Blog and meet the members of my team. They make my life so much easier and they are super talented ladies. I'm so glad that they've chosen to work with me and my designs.
Be sure to check out the forums today for some fun National Scrapbook Day activities! You never know what Miss Cheryl has up her sleeve. I know it will be a great day.
As this week winds down I reflect on why I scrap and design. For me it's about capturing memories and being able to visit them in my mind and print (or paper, I love paper scrapping too!). It's about a creative release, allowing my creativity to flow and learning new things. Designing gives me great joy and even though it often seems I don't have the time, it's something that fulfills me and makes other parts of my life better. It's about showing my family (and fur-babies) to people and letting them know that they are the most important part of my life. Without my family, I am nothing but a lone person in the world. It's about letting my inner spirit shine to the world without "preaching" about it. It's a stress reliever when the pressures of life and the world get to be too much, somehow escaping for a little while into photos, papers and elements eases the stress and gives new perspective. One of the greatest joys in my life was the look on my Grandmother's face at her 80th birthday party when not only did I surprise her by showing up with my hubby and son (we had told her for a year that we wouldn't be able to come to her party), but also showing up with a 50 page album that showcased her life from a young woman through the present. Her joy in that album made the year and countless hours I spent on it worth every moment. My hubby and son supported me every step of the way, gave me ideas, critiqued my work, praised my work and it turned into quite the family event. To me, that's what all this is about. So whatever your reason for scrapping, keep it up and keep sharing those pages with us.
I'm going to leave you with the dedication page beginning my grandmother's album, one of my favorite layouts because she is absolutely beautiful in that picture and the final page of the album so you can see I intend to continue it. One of these days I'll get all the pages uploaded in one spot so that everyone can see this album that I treasure as much as she does.
Enjoy life and happy scrapping!
Hugs,
Georgia
p.s. In the spirit of this post and today, I'm making pumpkin bread from one of my Grandmother's Aunt's recipies. After that I think I'll work on some extra pages for her album. Ollie's game isn't until 8:30 tonight.
Enjoy!
