Blog Freebie ...

Here's a freebie that coordinates with my Pajama Party kit that is coming soon to my stores.

You can download this for a limited time here.

Please leave me comments if you download. Thanks and ENJOY!

Scrap-A-Faire

WOW, you have to check this out. What a great event. I'm proud to announce that DigiScrapShak is participating! You can find information about the event here.

Here's an ad from our home page:

I sure hope to everyone will stop by and check it out!

Exciting news ....

I'm very excited to announce that I've been accepted as a designer at Digitals and DigiScrapShak. I have to tell you that the ladies there are outstanding and I look forward to having a lot of fun in my new homes. I'm working on getting everything set up and ready to go. There's a lot of file renaming, rezipping, etc. that needs to happen with each kit. The exciting part of that is I will probably add pieces and update them as I go.

Be on the lookout for a CT call very soon. I'm going to need some layout artists for my Dream Team. I have to tell you that you'd be joining a wonderful group of ladies. I'd be lost without them!

Here's a new picture of Patches hanging out on the stairs. I think he looks so funny sitting in this position. Definitely worthy of a layout! Also, here is a layout of Patches showing a little bit about one of our six adopted fur-babies.

And..... you never know when you're going to see kits created with my fabulous Dream Team.

Some Snow ...

Woke up to 4-6 inches of snow this morning. It was really beautiful to see since we've had so little snow this winter. It was nice fluffy wet snow that's perfect to play in. Of course it's also easier to clean up so school was only put on an hour delay and we had to go to work. However, I won't complain about that extra hour at home this morning. I have to say hubby is the absolute best as he did the shoveling and cleaning off my truck and his car before he took a shower and left for work. I took a couple of pix out the window, not sure how they turned out as I didn't have time to download them yet.

Weekend was a major hockey marathon. Poor Ollie was exhuasted! He's also coming down with something, coughing and complaining of a sore throat. No fever though so I encouraged him to go to school rather than have to make up a bunch of work. He was instructed to call me though if he starts feeling really bad and I'll go get him early.

Hubby took pictures of the games this weekend, need to get them edited and uploaded for the hockey site. Here's the All Star team picture from street hockey.
Ollie is the goalie with the red helmet.

Here's picture hubby took of Ollie and his coach, Mario. Mario loved Ollie's blue hockey hat and kept teasing him he wanted to trade. Well, he's such a great kid he traded hats with Mario and here is the picture with them in their new head gear. I'll order Ollie a new hat to replace the one he traded away. Mario wore it all day and is going to wear it snowboarding next time he goes. He's so proud of it. We are sad to move up and not have him and Chris as coaches any more.

Busy, busy, busy & some news ....

Hi everyone! Well the week was full of craziness and the days got away from me. I want to start out by sharing some news. I decided to resign from Divine Digital. It just is not the right time or fit right now and so I have decided to quietly go. No drama, just time for me to spread my wings and fly. I'm not sure where my new design home will be, but I'll keep you posted through my blog. My dear friend, DeDe Smith also resigned from Divine Digital. You will be able to find her phenominal designs (especially those adorable tearz) at Elemental Scraps soon. I'll let you know when she's up and running there. Good news is we are going to do some kits together. I'm very excited about that.

Anyone looking for my kits right now, please contact me and we'll work something out. Also, as soon as I get a new home and get settled, I'm planning on doing a CT call for layout artists. I have a wonderful Dream Team, but keep them very busy with behind the scenes work and brainstorming. I'd like to add some additional people for layouts.

Now on to the weekend! Got a call yesterday afternoon at 3:15 p.m. to see if I could pull Ollie's ice hockey team together for a game at 7:00 p.m. Seems the team that called, their opponent canceled. YIKES do you know how hard it is to call the whole team and find people on a Friday afternoon, and then find willing participants for a FRIDAY night unexpected game? LOL Well, we pulled it off with 10 skaters and a goalie. We didn't win, but it was a close game and it was a lot of fun. My hats off and huge admiration for the players with so much dedication to come on short notice like that. But if you know anything about hockey, free ice time is a GOOD THING!

Today is crazy busy, a street hockey playoff game at 10:00 a.m., an All Star street hockey game at 12:00 p.m. and a tryout for the street hockey tournament at 2:30 p.m. Tonight he's playing as an alternate on the A ice hockey team at 8:30 p.m.

Tomorrow is an ice hockey game at 11:40 a.m. and a street hockey playoff game at 1:00 p.m.

I'm tired just typing this out! Soooooo time to jump in the shower, fill up the gatorade bottles, rev up the engines and get moving. Not sure when we'll eat, but we'll figure that out as we go along.

Hugs to all and thanks for stopping by......

p.s.... be sure to keep your eyes open for some freebies here, I'm going to be organizing my files and you never know what I might come up with! hehe

New Kit - Pajama Party

Ohhh this kit was so much fun to work on. I need to have some time to sit down and play with it and do some layouts. It should be in the boutique today. It's the Divine Diva Deal this week so will be on sale for $2.00 until February 28th.

Went and ran errands. Needed a bigger portable drive for my design stuff. Also needed a much bigger external backup drive for our main computer. I'm going to use our old one as a data drive and the new one to back up both the pc and the data drive. Lots to do to configure and clean everything.

Ollie wanted to watch The Da Vinci Code DVD with me. I hadn't seen it yet and we both read and enjoyed the book. He kept telling me I'd like the movie. Well, it was really good. I'd recommend it... especially if you read the book and liked it. Regardless, it's a good story. I really like Dan Brown's writing and have enjoyed his other books and look forward to Angels and Demons coming out in movie form also.

We also made a trip to Trader Joe's when out running errands. LOVE that place. Stocked up on some favorite yummies. Off to make chili and corn bread for dinner. Also to work on moving data, etc. around.
Ok, so I took a vacation day (I have 3 left over from last year) ... why is it my day is already overly full and planned out? What ever happened to those fun do-nothing vacation days? As if I didn't have enough I planned to do, hubby was making suggestions of other things I could do for him on his way out the door. Funny too because he was off yesterday and other than a couple of short errands, spent the rest of the day as a lazy vacation day!

Off to get organized and I'll check back in later with my progress and hopefully a new peek at the Pajama Party kit coming out tomorrow.

Game Winning Goal!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Good news to report from our crazy weekend of hockey! Ollie scored the game winning goal as the alternate on the A team Saturday night. This was huge in his world. To be respected enough to be asked to play up and help out their team and then score the winning goal. It's wonderful to see him rewarded for his work and dedication. He lives and breathes hockey and works very hard at constantly trying to improve his skills. All on top of being an excellent kid and student. I'm very very proud of him! GO OLLIE!
As you can see, hubby got a little excited when taking the pictures of the goal and celebration and they ended up all blurry! I think I might just scrap them anyhow.

It's the weekend, it must be ...

... HOCKEY time!

Well Ollie's been called up to be an alternate on the other team for both their games this weekend. So with his two games, that makes four ice hockey games in 2 days. Both teams are short players with the holiday weekend so he'll get tons of ice time. We'll be off and running from this afternoon on. Three of the games are away and one tomorrow morning on home ice. Cleaned off all the memory cards so hubby has plenty of room to take lots of pictures. Of course he lives to be on the ice and play hockey so he's very excited. Wish both teams luck!

Sneaky Peek-A-Boo ....

A sneak peek of a piece of my new Pajama Party kit. I'm having such a blast designing this one. I have to have it done by Tuesday but I can easily see add-ons for this kit. I have tons of ideas and not near enough time!

Date Night!

WOW, hubby and I have date night tonight. Ollie is going with Emily to a hockey game at Princeton, leaving hubby and I on our own for a whole evening. It's been so long since we've had date night that neither of us can even figure out where we want to go to dinner, much less what we want to do. Go figure.

Still playing catch up at work but finally starting to see some light at the end of the tunnel. Working furiously to try and close January's books today. Then maybe I'll be able to stay on top of things. I can't believe how much them hiring the new girl put me behind. I've been struggling to catch up since December.

Headache AGAIN today.... ughhh I hate when I get in these routines of getting them regularly. It's been a whole week of them. Give me a break already.

Working like crazy on my Pajama Party kit. I'm loving the way it's coming along and I'm anxious to have some design time to play. This one is FUN! Begging and borrowing some girl in pajama pictures from DeDe since I don't have any. Ohhh girl pictures... how fun!

Ok, back to the grind..... but hopefully more to come later.

Scavenger Hunt at Divine Digital!

We are having a scavenger hunt at Divine Digital. You can find details about it here.

The prize is pieces of a kit that was designed Raylene Brooks from my Dream Team and myself. She did a fabulous job helping me out and it was sure a fun kit to work on. Here is a sneak peek at the full kit. Be sure to join in the fun between now and the end of the month at which time the kit will be put in it's entirety in the boutique.
A huge thank you to Vickie Weers for the fabulous previews. As always, she rocks!

Also did a February wallpaper for hubby last night. He's been spoiled for over a year now wanting a wallpaper for his computer each month. I'm very late getting this done this month, however I ended up liking the end result. The background paper is a colorized version of one of the papers for the Pajama Party kit I'm working on. The layout on the photo is one I did last year, but still one of my favorites. I should start working on March NOW so I'm not so late! LOL

Blah ....

Not sure why, just very blah this morning. Not feeling chatty.... that or I have nothing to say. Go figure. Didn't sleep very well at all last night so maybe I'm just tired.

Here's a layout I did for hubby last Valentine's Day. It still holds true no matter how many oddball things life throws at us. There isn't a day that goes by (yes, even when I was upset with him on Sunday for being a grump) that I don't adore him, not a day that goes by that I don't feel incredibly lucky to have him in my life.

Made him a giant heart shaped chocolate chip cookie for Valentine's Day. I think he really loved it. Ended up having an evening in after we shoveled ourselves out. Both hockey practices ended up cancelled. Nice to have a non-crazy night at home.

Happy ICY Valentine's Day!

Happy Valentine's Day all!

Goodness it's icy here! It's been snowing (well really ice pellets) since last night. The roads are horrible and it took me an hour to get into work. My commute is usually 15-20 minutes. My windshield wipers were freezing to the windshield and it's very messy out there! I absolutely dread the ride home. Very very stressful! We are expecting more ice, some freezing rain and then to get capped off with anywhere from 6 inches to a foot of snow this afternoon. Waiting to see if one or both hockey practices will get canceled. I'm almost 100% positive that street hockey will be canceled, but ice hockey will depend on the roads.

Boss man is all impressed though as his partner and the new girl didn't bother to attempt to get in here today. Soooooo.... I guess it was worth doing the right thing and coming in. Believe me, I sure thought about calling and saying no way. He gave me a flower (plant), some chocolate covered coffee beans, some body butter lotion and a card from him, his wife and their cat Romeo (who I take care of when they go away). Here's a picture of my buddy Romeo!

Pictures and more to come later ...

Is snow coming??????

They say a storm is headed this way. My head sure tells me that's the case. I had a killer migraine last night that flat out put me out of commission, one of the worst I've had in quite a while. Feeling a little better today, but my head and neck are really sore.

I'm ready for a snow storm (yes, you can all remind me of that when I'm complaining about shoveling and the sticky mess the salt/ice combo tracks all over my floors) ... we really haven't had any snow to speak of so far this year. It's beautiful and everyone should have at least one good storm a year... right? Seriously, what they are saying is coming is nothing compared to some that we've gotten in years past. We'll see what actually gets here.

Team pictures went really well last night. I've got about 30 proofs from each team (four teams in total) to go through and try to target the best one. I'll print one for each team member and coach for the year end dinner. Thank goodness my head was at a level that I could tolerate until we got home from the practice.

Working on editing tons of pictures from games I still need to get up on the team's website. Here's a new one of Ollie I liked when editing. There are so many! I sure need to get scrapping. Anybody know how to get more hours out of the day?

Love Snaplet ...

Here is an early Valentine's Day gift from me to you. A snaplet created with love and swirls.

You can download it for a limited time here. Please leave me a comment if you download the file. Thanks!

Long day yesterday ....

Ughhh one of those days that started on the wrong foot right away. Hubby ended up in a very bad mood very early in the morning. Not quite sure why, but it sure ruined my day as the mood ended up being directed at me.

We are going to be crazy busy on Valentine's Day since it's Wacky Wednesday. We were supposed to celebrate Valentine's Day yesterday instead by going to dinner. Needless to say, it wasn't all that much fun. He went and brought home a gorgeous dozen red roses with on pink rose for Jenn (my angel girl) and 2 pink carnations for Mittens and Tigger (our 2 angel cats). BUT, he had ordered them last week and had to pick them up.... soooo conclusion is it's a lot less hurtful to not receive flowers or aknowledgement at all than to receive them because "it's required or the thing to do". In other words, if they don't mean anything it really stinks! I just have to remind myself that he meant it when he ordered them even if he didn't when he gave them to me yesterday. Right??? *sigh* Hopefully his mood is improved today!

For those of you who don't know me well, you'll learn about Jenn as time goes by. Here is a layout of her from my Grandmother's 80th B'Day album I did this past summer.

Work has been busy busy lately. I'll take a picture of the gorgeous flowers later and post. Also keep you eyes open. Never know when I'm going to sneak a freebie in here.

Team pictures for Ollie's ice hockey team are tonight.

Working on a Pajama Party kit for my next kit. I have the Divine Digital Deal crop on the 28th. Look for my kit around the 21st in the boutique. Better get designing!

Weekends = Hockey

Gearing up for a busy weekend. Ollie has 2 games on Saturday and one game early Sunday morning. The last regular season street hockey game is tomorrow. Then a couple of weeks of practice before roaring into the playoffs and All Star Game. For those of you who don't know, he plays goalie for street hockey and is a center on the ice. He's been on the All Star team for street hockey every year he's played.

Two tough ice hockey teams we're playing this weekend. Again the pressure is on for him to lead the team. Being Captain of the team has been so good for him. He's doing a great job stepping up to the plate and being a leader. We have a new player that has joined the team and will finish out the season for us. He hasn't played for a couple of years but seems to skate ok and is a big kid. Cross your fingers and send some good vibes our way!
Yes, I'm going to try and leap into the blogging world. It's one thing I just haven't had a chance to learn yet and have been much too busy with being a partner at Divine Digital and designing to learn. Oh yeah, and I have a real day job and I'm a hockey mom. One thing is for sure, you'll get a peek into my crazy schedule ... but life would be boring otherwise. Right?!?
